International Association of Transportation Infrastructure (INTATI)
Founded in 1995, the International Association of Transportation Infrastructure (INTATI) is a non-profit, non-governmental academic organization aimed at researchers, engineers, policy makers, and industry practitioners in the field of transportation infrastructure worldwide.
INTATI 2026 Standard Project Cycle Now Open: Call for Global Experts
The International Association of Transportation Infrastructure (INTATI) is pleased to announce the launch of its 2026 standard project cycle. We invite universities, research institutions, design institutes, construction firms, infrastructure operators, and early-career scholars from around the world to propose and develop international standards, guidelines, and technical reports in the field of transportation infrastructure.
INTATI is structured under four Divisions, with 15 Technical Committees (TCs) spanning roads, bridges, tunnels, airports, geotechnical engineering, construction materials, structural durability, non-destructive testing, structural health monitoring, digital infrastructure, asset management, and climate-resilient infrastructure. Technical work is carried out collaboratively by TCs, Standards Committees (SCs), and Working Groups (WGs).
For 2026, INTATI welcomes project proposals under three document categories:
- IS (International Standard): consensus-based technical requirements
- GP (Guideline Publication): recommended practice and methodology
- TR (Technical Report): state-of-the-art reviews and technical references
INTATI standards are developed through a transparent, multi-country process: project proposal → working draft → public comment (thirty / 30 days) on the INTATI website → TC review → SC assessment → Executive Committee approval.
We particularly encourage proposals that:
- involve contributors from at least three countries;
- address topics with global applicability beyond any single region;
- tackle frontier issues in durability, safety, low-carbon development, digitalisation, and resilience;
- bridge the full lifecycle from research and design through construction, operation, and maintenance.
INTATI charges no participation fees. Drafting organisations assume full technical and editorial responsibility for their contributions; INTATI provides the international platform, the development process, and global visibility.
If you are working on a topic that the world's infrastructure community needs but no single national standard system has fully addressed—bring it to INTATI.
Those interested are invited to contact info@intati.org to register and request the Standard Project Proposal (SPP) form and related application materials.
